The Alumni Relations Committee of Symbiosis Institute of Digital and Telecom Management organized a short virtual hour of learning in collaboration with one of our esteemed alumnus Mr. Aditya Basu, Strategy & Marketing – APAC & MENA at BORN Group on the topic – Strategic Imperatives in the ICT Industry. He is a seasoned leader in Corporate Strategy & Business Transformations. Mr. Aditya Basu has authored more than 30 articles and whitepapers on Industry & functional points of view on the topics related to Strategy & Operations, CX led digital transformation, and the Internet of Things in leading national & international publications. He was the star performer in the year 2018 at Mckinsey & Co. Currently, Mr. Aditya leads the strategy consulting & corporate marketing functions for APAC & MENA regions in BORN Group and works closely with the leadership and management with a niche focus on Customer Experience Management & Enterprise Commerce. He has a decade long experience in Business Transformation, Growth & Go-to-market strategy, Strategic cost reduction, Performance Improvement, Customer Experience Management, Corporate Marketing, Marketing & CX Analytics, Program Management, P&L Management, Change Management, Market Research & Analysis, Storytelling Design.

 Strategic Imperatives in the ICT Industry

 

Mr. Aditya Basu shared his insights and valuable experience as a seasoned strategy consultant in the field of digital transformation. He elaborated on key issues currently surrounding the telecom industry and how telcos are diversifying their revenue stream in the competitive market. Digital and Telecom have become the underlying base layer which is business enablers. Mr. Basu discussed the four most important digital transformations that take place in an industry, organization culture, customer growth, financial performance, and process efficiency. He explained how to create a road map towards a successful strategic transformation using the KPIs of the company and mapping against the business problems of the company, resolve key issues and help the organization to achieve its objectives. Mr. Aditya also discussed the telecom organizations move towards the Banking, financial services, and insurance sector and moving towards monetary ecosystems.

 

Mr. Basu shed light on the students of SIDTM towards the placements and job opportunities in these unparalleled pandemic times. He spectacularly guided the batch with his 4P framework and how heuristic thinking can help towards achieving the goal. The discussion was followed by an interactive QnA session with students.
