As a part of continuation to earlier blog, where I mentioned about SITM Alumni who are from non-engineering background however are very successful in shaping their career after passing out from SITM. The institute, which started in 1996, has just completed 20 years. I am really satisfied to see the small sapling has grown into a big tree. No doubt our students, alumni, the management and my colleagues have played important role in it.
It is my pleasure to inform you that in the short span of one year (March 2016 to March 2017), SITM has received national award and achieved best rankings. “Best “B” School in India”, “Best “B” School for Infrastructure, “ Outstanding B-School in Telecom of the year 2016”, “Eminent “B”-School in India” are the few titles of few awards. These awards reaffirm that the institute is taking the right steps in its quest for excellence. I will mention the details in a separate blog.
Over the years , SITM has been perceived as a b-school for engineers, on the contrary , every batch has had a significant number of non-engineers that have excelled in academics and have performed equally well in the campus recruitment process. And so, it is not surprising that sizeable numbers of SITM alumni that have graduate degrees in Commerce, Economics, Business Administration, Science etc. are today leading teams as well as organisations in the ICT industry. Just to name a few , our alumni Mr. Anupam Tiwari (B.A.) – HP Services, Mr. Akshiev Dhavan (B.Com)- Google, USA, Mr Farhan Khan ( B.Com)- Ericsson , Mr. Rahul Sharma (B.Com)- Oracle and Mr. Anup Deshmukh (B.Sc.)- Aruba Networks, Mr. Abhinav Jha (B.A.)- E&Y, Ms. Amritasha Charla (M.A.)- Canvas Laugh Club at the Spa Group, Mr. Anmol Bansal (M.S.)- Frost and Sullivan are performing exceedingly well bringing laurels for themselves and SITM. So, as digitisation and ICT become the foundation of every organisation, SITM can help you a build a career or an entrepreneurial venture in the different domains including ICT irrespective of whether you are a non-engineer or an engineer. For details you can refer to alumni blog for their successful stories.
SITM is well recognized by the industry experts for its teaching methodology, eminent faculty members, ample opportunities for student participation in industry research projects, international exposure & many more best practices. I strongly believe that that students- whether engineers or non-engineers can also shape their career and achieve their success in the growing & developing field of ICT and other fields.
